Our Studios

All of our studios are named after some of the most influential authors Britain has fostered, namely: J R R Tolkien, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and George Eliot who all have strong ties and connections to the Midlands. Tolkien grew up in Edgbaston and attended King Edwards School. Conan Doyle studied Medicine which included periods of work at Aston, once a town in its own right but now a district of Birmingham. George Eliot was born and grew up in and around Coventry. Floss on the Mill is reputed to be based around her experiences at The Great Alne Mill. Whilst their activities were far from being related to market research, some of their thoughts very much apply to this field  and have inspired us as such. We hope that you, too, will be inspired by our studios in your research.

Tolkien writes in his book The Hobbit; “There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.”

Transcription & Analyses

Whether you need full verbatim transcripts, content analyses or a full management report from your qualitative research, we have access to one of the best networks of transcribers and qualitative analysts covering most languages.

Transcribing

IDIs, groups and duos are transcribed verbatim from the sound files. This gives a completely comprehensive written version of the interview providing full information for your own team to analyse. The transcripts can be presented in Word, usually in the discussion guide itself, or in Excel, usually with one row per respondent. We are happy to work to our clients’ own or preferred templates.

Content Analyses

Full summary of responses to every question in the guide identified by respondent type where appropriate. Also includes pertinent verbatim quotes and, if required, a brief summary of findings per section. Usually carried out in a Word document and can utilise in-house or client templates.

Report Writing

We also provide a report service offering full summary reports, management reports or topline reports. The topline report will usually be a rapid feedback Word document provided by the moderator. This enables our client to give fast feedback to their client. The management and full summary reports are presented in PowerPoint and are usually in the client’s own template to ensure the appropriate corporate style is used and also so that the report writer incorporates any specific formats and slide designs that the client prefers. The reports will be an analyses of key findings presented clearly and with supporting quotations. They will also include summaries of each section and an overall summary of key findings.
